Dionne Murch of Office Max, in collaboration with the Tulare County Board of Supervisors, donated a computer to Doyle 6th grader Santiago Nunez. Santiago's teacher, Ms. Baca, nominated Santiago in early December. She emphasized that Santiago's enthusiasm, work ethic, and responsibility in the classroom proved he was deserving of such a great gift.
Project Lead the Way (PLTW) is getting our students prepared to compete for the jobs of the future. Throughout the Doyle campus, students are taking part in various activities and projects that will give them a solid foundation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. PLTW promotes student engagement, critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and fun.
Today, our school came together to kick-off the holiday weekend with the annual Turkey Trot. Boys and girls from each grade level raced for turkeys and pies donated by the John J. Doyle staff. Students, parents, and staff had a great time at the event.
John J. Doyle Elementary School held its Parent Panther Talk with approximately 50 parents attending the event. The session is held to educate parents about current events at the school, as well as giving them tours to see what is going on in the classroom.
